KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK

Kidepo Valley National Park is Located in the southern part of Uganda’s Kaabong district, Kidepo Valley National Park is a 1,442 square-kilometer haven for wildlife enthusiasts and nature lovers. This park is renowned for its diverse ecosystems, including savannas, grasslands, and woodlands, which support an impressive array of wildlife.

Wildlife and Birdlife

Kidepo Valley National Park is home to over 80 mammal species including;

  • Elephants: Large herds of elephants roam the park’s savannas.

  • Cheetahs: Kidepo Valley National Park is one of the few places in Uganda where cheetahs can be seen.
